For Families

We know that what happens to children in the first years of life affects their ability learn and to be successful in school and later in life. Making sure that children’s needs are met in today’s world can be challenging. Children need a strong connection with caring adults in order to thrive. These caring adults are most often parents but may be grandparents, extended family members or other caregivers. Often caregivers must balance the needs of children with the demands of work and/or school. ECCLC is dedicated to providing support that helps caregivers manage these often conflicting demands. We do this by offering information and resources and by providing child care referrals. We also provide information about how to identify and choose quality care and work with child care providers to ensure that families have high quality options available.
