How You Can Help

Make a Donation

Much of ECCLC’s work is funded through government and foundation grants, which can fluctuate from year to year. This makes it challenging to maintain consistent and quality services. Your contribution can help maintain a consistent level of services.

Donations to ECCLC qualify for Colorado’s child care tax credit. Taxpayers who make a monetary contribution to promote child care in Colorado may claim an income tax credit of 50% of the total contribution. Qualifying contributions include money donated for:

  • a registered training program for child care providers (like those offered by the ECCLC)
  • a registered information dissemination program that assists parents with child care information and referrals (like the ECCLC's child care referral program)
  • the establishment or operation of a Colorado child care program
  • a registered grant or loan program for Colorado parents needing financial assistance for child care

Example:
$1000 donation to ECCLC
$300 Federal Tax deduction
$50 Colorado Tax deduction
$500 Child Care Tax Credit
$850 Total reduction
$150 Net cost of $1000 donation to ECCLC

(This example is based on several assumptions. Consult your tax advisor regarding your specific situation. All donation must be cash. In kind donations including securities, are not eligible for this credit.)
