What is Universal Preschool?
In the 2022 Legislative Session, HB22-1295 established the Colorado Universal Preschool Program to offer voluntary, high-quality universal preschool to every Colorado child in the year before kindergarten. All children in Colorado can register for up to 15 hours of free, high-quality preschool in their year before kindergarten through Colorado’s Universal Preschool Program. Some families may qualify for more hours based on a number of qualifying factors.

ECCLC is thrilled to be Larimer County’s Local Coordinating Organization (LCO) for Universal Preschool Colorado. We strive to make sure that everyone impacted by Universal Preschool, including families, early care and education providers, community partners, government, and local organizations has a voice–and say–in how Universal Preschool plays out in Larimer County.
